Research Title:

“eHealth Literacy at the Era of Decentralized Ownership of Medical Knowledge:A New Operationalization”

Research Description:

The study examines the eHealth literacy in a new light, focusing on acquisition processes of health knowledge. Using multistage validation, I compare classic scale to alternative one, which include perceptual and motivational aspects.

Background:

Yaron Connelly is a researcher in the fields of Sociology of Health, Health Policy and Health Communications, holds a M.A. in Organization Studies from University of Haifa(Magna cum laude). Yaron is also a researcher at The Israeli Center of Emerging Technologies in Hospitals since 2017, and previously, was part of the department of Psychosocial Aspects of Health at The Gertner Institute for Epidemiology and Health Policy (2013-2017). Alongside his research activity, he is associated with national processes of public consultation as academic advisor and serves as an invited lecturer in relevant courses and workshops. As part of his activities and research, Yaron is collaborates with multiple partners from the healthcare system such as, the Ministry of Health, hospitals, research institutes and private companies.
